About
The first EP, Yes, It's About You is out and streaming on most platforms. It was produced and mixed by Sonny Ratcliff at Refuge Recording in Brooklyn. Acompanying the album's release, two live action music videos were made with Davd Doobinin and DM created a third animated lyric video from a sketch made by her brother.

DM and the Expats was founded by Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter DM Salsberg in 2018. Influences of Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor, and Ann Wilson come through in her confessional lyrics and effortless vocal gymnastics. The band's acoustic sound is new yet familiar, like an antique chair that has been freshly upholstered. Alternating between soft and soothing and impactful angst, their performances keep audiences entranced.
DM and the Expats have played venues around NYC (Pete's Candy Store, Rockwood Music Hall, Cornelia Street Cafe, Drom) and made instant fans on tour in CA (Harvelle's Santa Monica, The Virgil). |
Currently, DM is in post-production for the release of the next EP, recorded remotely during the pandemic and in person, again with Sonny at Wildwood Recording Studio in Brooklyn.
